Serving The Community
Chris has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place and believes the Sheriff's Office can do more to serve our youth and seniors. Establishing new outreach programs and expanding those that currently exist, are top priorities for Chris.
Addressing Mental Health & Substance Abuse Issues
As an active police officer, Chris has seen the struggles of many individuals in the community. Mental health, substance abuse, the opioid epidemic and alcohol dependency issues have impacted many. As Sheriff, Chris will work diligently to help those who suffer from these ailments, giving them a better quality of life.
Reducing Recidivism
Through new, and forward-thinking ideas and programs, Chris believes the Sheriff's Office can do more to help reduce recidivism. Ensuring that those who were in the care and custody of the Sheriff's Office are able to return to their loved ones as better individuals is something Chris believes can be achieved.
Improving Public Safety
Chris understands the importance of Public Safety, and how it needs to positively affect the community. Improving training and equipment for our officers, building community partnerships, collaborating with our local police departments are key parts of Chris' vision for the Sheriff's Office.
Fiscal Responsibility
Your tax dollars have value and need to be spent properly. Chris is fiscally prudent and responsible with our tax money, getting the most out of programs and services. With knowledge of police budgeting, Chris will aim to make the Sheriff's Office as efficient as it should be, saving taxpayer money.
